After years of buying at Bass Pro, along with many veteran friends, we heard that Bass Pro cut their military discount in half, to 5%.

Guess Johnny Morris "and Company" doesn't appreciate the military veteran anymore. It maybe was a small token, but in a small way it made a veteran feel appreciated. At the same time the veteran felt a loyalty to Bass Pro for showing their appreciation.

Why was this done cut done? It might as well be done away with, at this time, it is more of a slap in the face to the military vet. Maybe the saved money is needed to help pay for all of Bass Pro's new ventures? At the expense of the military veteran.

Guess we, and many other veterans, will find somewhere else to spend our money.

I'm sure you will be hearing from other veterans and families and friends.

Just another way that veterans are forgotten.

Bass Pro Shops proudly support and extend our gratitude to our armed forces, which is why our 5% military discount is now available every day, year-round at all Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s stores in both the U.S. and Canada.

We’re continuing to evaluate the best way to support the armed forces, veterans and their families based on customer feedback, input from military/veterans organizations and our team members. We encourage you to provide us with your feedback directly by emailing basspro@custhelp.com. Along with your comments, please include your name and phone number.

Thank you for your feedback. –ANA

You don't support the military and veterans. You proved that when you acquired Cabelas, increased your employer discount to 45% and then cut the military/veteran discount.

This is truly sad.

Does Johnny know about this? Or is the bean counters at corporate?Shame on you!

I agree, it makes no sense. In a time that we require our military to make extraordinary sacrifices that BPS would reduce their military discount.

Your going in the wrong direction. There are not enough military / veterans to make a difference (
